The AAHRPP President Dr Majorie Speers will conduct her first trip to China

GlobalMD has became a executive support member for the AAHRPP in April 2009.  To further strength this strategic partnership and collaborations on the same international mission and vision to improve the clinical research standards and to promote the best practice and discipline, GlobalMD has invited and arrange Dr Marjoie Speers, President of AAHRPP to conduct her fist trip to China.

GlobalMD has teamed up with the NIH Clinical Center to train Chinese physicians and clinical researchers since Nov. 2008. Recently, GlobalMD-NIH has jointly conducted the 2nd Principles and Practice of Clinical Research and Ethics in Clinical Research two courses in China. It has brought up more than 845 physicians and researchers from 169 hospitals across 25 provinces in China. This is the largest single training course participated by the NIH faculty at an oversea site.

Followed the NIH Training Program implementation, GlobalMD has put its vision on accreditation of hospital clinical research on human subjects protection. This is the core element to train the physicians on how to conduct the clinical trials and experimental treatment, etc.

Dr Majorie Speers is very excited about her first trip. She anticipated to meet Chinese hospital leaders and local public health authorities as well. While Dr Speers is in China, she will present a workshop to introduce the AAHRPP accreditation program to ensure the standards and rules of international standards for clinical research.
