Evaluate an adult patient with minor head injury for traumatic brain injury; Evaluate a pediatric patient with head injury for intracranial injury; Identify cervical spine injuries (CSI) in adults and children; Discuss use of computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging to evaluate a patient for CSI; and Describe the differences between the National Emergency X-Radiography Utilization Study (NEXUS) rules and the Canadian Cervical Spine Rule for cervical spine clearance.
