Discuss the short-term prognosis associated with TIAs; Describe the pathophysiology of TIAs and its relationship to the risk for stroke; Evaluate the benefit of hospitalization and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) administration in patients with TIAs; Refer a patient with medically intractable epilepsy for surgery; and Discuss the effectiveness of medical and surgical therapy for epilepsy.
